Fall is in the air and the leaves are falling onto your plate!

The days are getting shorter. There is a crispness to the morning air and just a hint of colors changing. It's begining to look like fall around here! I have to apologize up front for the color in these photos. Not sure what was going on with my camera but I promise the colors of the cookies are beautiful and rich! Just order some and see! :)

A little something from Tiffany's please

A good friend of mine from college is getting married next weekend. His mom reached out to me to make some cookies for their rehearsal dinner. This is a surprise for him and his fiance. So why I am I posting it now? Well, he's a guy and he's not going to check my cookie blog. That's why! And these cookies are too good not to share before next week! I was told their colors are going to be Tiffany blue, white, and black and they are using an Eiffel Tower theme. So this is what I came up with.

Sugar Cookie Whimsy is born!

Someone commented on my cookies last week and said “they make me want to make sugar cookies and put whimsical decorations on them.” Then it hit me, whimsy. I love that word.


Definition of WHIMSY

1: whim, caprice
2: the quality or state of being whimsical or fanciful
3: a fanciful or fantastic device, object, or creation especially in writing or art

I have long said that my cookies are “my art.” The fact that they are fanicful, beautiful and most of all whimsical is just icing on the cake. (Yes, I make cakes too!) I make cookies because I love it. I love creating something that makes people stop and look twice. I love creating something that is always for a happy occasion. Besides looking fantastic, my cookies taste good and that is as important as looking good. Because if you are going to choose to eat a cookie, especially one that is a work of art, it better taste great!
